Hard to say really. Whomever was behind the account won't be missed anyway. It's really irritating to read comments from anyone and see that what they lay out as "facts" really aren't facts at all, just manipulated half-truths, but whomever is posting it thinks it the absolute, unvarnished truth.
That was basically what the gypsysailor account did on a daily basis when they were here.

I don't think so. I think the whole thing was bullshit. Unless it was some extraordinarily poor island person.
They never gave up the ghost on the story because they backed themselves into a corner and they realized that to admit to lying would result in losing all credibility, so no matter what they stuck to the story.
Either way as you said, what they claimed was not impressive in the slightest. Either outright bullshit or creepy age difference and they snagged someone that NOBODY else wanted.

That can very easily be faked though. I do think that picture was original in terms of being on a boat but there is no way to know for certain whether the boat was owned by whomever was that account.
The whole backstory wasn't impressive because it can easily be broken down. No woman in her 20's would date a guy approaching 70 if he didn't either:
1. Have money
2. She CANNOT have much going for her at all
Certainly didn't have money so option 2 seems more likely.
This is assuming you actually believe the account had a wife in her 20's....dubious assumption at best.

I don't think they were actually liberal, I think they just followed trends. Which, unfortunately, far more people today also do, instead of actually thinking for themselves, finding themselves and a belief system they adhere to. Being liberal (for some reason) is still popular right now.
For example I didn't vote for Barack Obama in 2008 but at the same time I know plenty of people who did and on some level I can understand doing it while I also don't agree with it. Everything the liberal media put out on him was sunshine and roses and the conservatives put out McCain (who I deeply respect but also think was too old for the office) and Palin was just a mistake, plain and simple.
Okay, so he gets elected in 2008. These same people who elected him, had a chance in 2012 to put the country back on the right track with Romney (who I think would have been a decent, business oriented president) and what do they do? Shit the bed again by going to the polls with their heads firmly up their asses and re-elect not just a liberal president, but an outright socialist one.
And idiots like whoever was behind the gypsysailor account still think we need someone like Sanders or Clinton in office. After 8 YEARS of Obama. That is just mind boggling to be so out of touch with reality, that you actually not only think that but go out of your way to defend that choice.
I'll be honest, I don't really want Trump as president. But I am smart enough to know, beyond any sort of doubt whatsoever, that we SIMPLY CANNOT afford to have Clinton or Sanders in office. The country will completely collapse under more socialist programs. It just can't happen.

I'm totally willing to give Trump a chance. I do think he has potential. Although if he ran in 2012 against Obama he would've lost just like Romney did.
I still have a hard time understanding myself how any sensible person could have voted for Obama in 2012. He accomplished nothing but raising the debt to double what it took 200+ yrs to initially get to and everyone seems to just completely ignore that. I guess if you're black (which is overwhelming MINORITY population in America) or a leeching welfare slug Obama was the one to go with in 2012.
I'm neither of those things, so....

Its simple why people voted for Obama: he gives out free stuff. To all sorts of groups, abortions and contraceptives to women, welfare and many other entitlements to blacks, he gave gays what they wanted... Etc. so its all very simple. People want things, and he gave it to them. Its all very basic, i need i need i need, ME ME ME !

Years ago his profile picture of a massive kick ass sail boat, then he changed it to pop eye or some shit, about a year or so later I told him to post apic of him, holding a piece of paper with Gypsysailor written on it, on his boat. He did, but you couldn't see him in the picture and the boat was docked, way to small to live on and def wasn't the one in the original pic. Case closed.
