A lot of horrible things.
Rape, molestation, child abuse, child prostitution, neglect, poor living conditions, my mother, my stepdad, mistakes, instability, death, loss, drug abuse, ptsd, depression, anxiety, poor health, etc.
And some good.
My fiance, my brother, my mother, my animals, art, music, dancing, singing, laughing, etc.
Notice my mother is on both lists- her past self was not so great, but I mostly forgave her.
Well, I'm doing better. =) I think. lol.
You know, a person can't really tell if they're handling something well or not. I never got help for these problems and everyone involved is still roaming consequence-free to this day. I've had to rely on my own logic and motivation to push foward. I just take them as learning experiences and try to make them useful in dealing with the rest of life. Most importantly, I've had to digest and accept things for what they are, and realize I can't hold the world accountable for the wrongdoings of so few.
Sorry for the long response. Ha. I just didn't know how to respond with a short version.
That's fantastic. I'm glad so you've not become bitter after all that, and that you've come out as a good person at the end of it. It really sucks that the people responsible for all that are still out there, though.
Well ty, sir. Honestly, I don't really see the point in getting justice anyway. I came close to seeing someone behind bars for what they did to me once, and I realized life had already punished them for what people couldn't- I also realized instead of feeling good, I felt pity for them. I don't think people need punishment, I think they need education and direction. They need to learn compassion- it's the only real justice.
What experiences have led you to be the person you are today?
