I hardly put any meaning to dreams. The other day I had a dream I was sold into a futuristic dystopian Japanese illegal baby sitting trade, and the family who bought me just really needed a baby sitter for their kid.
If I was to interpret your dreams for you, I would say that the similarities between the girl you like now triggered emotions about the girl you liked then, which made you a little bummed she turned you down, so now your good guy brain decided to take you on a date with her to make you feel better. That's my take, but honestly, dreams are weird.
