  • Some people are just naturally larger. It's not detrimental to their health if that's the way they were made. Just sayin'.

    • I have a wonderful friend who is rather a "big" girl. She is not over weight... she's just... herself. She is one of the healthiest people I have met, and she exercises regularly. But according to the standards of most of the comments I've read, she would be considered "obese." I definitely understand what you mean when some people are just naturally large. Humans sure do have weird reactions when they can't seem to categorize others. Like the girl in picture B.

"I think she carries a lot of weight in her thighs." okay then... you seem to be one of the few human beings to have x-ray vision.

    • With all do respect and no offense intended- No one is just naturally larger unless you are talking about bone structure. Fat is fat regardless if it was added throughout your life from childhood up. Sure some people gain weight much easier than others because of genetics and other factors but some are just bad diet and lack of exercise. Those people can lose weight and shed fat just like everyone else it just takes the proper diet and exercise to do it. Most big people have built up a wall of excuses why they are big and why they can't lose weight. It's not their fault, usually it's because of a parent or significant other that has conditioned them for years telling them they are beautiful just the way they are or giving them sweets to make them happy. They are enablers and enablers have good intentions at heart but are bad for the person that is obese. Being unhealthy is not beautiful. I know lots of large people and most of them are ultra nice and beautiful on the inside but lets be realistic, there is nothing beautiful about being obese or unhealthy regardless of what excuses they have. For the record I'm not talking about people with large frames, I'm talking about people with high BMI's or obese as in unhealthy fat. Stop making excuses.

    • The way they were made? No ones made to look like that. They are that way because of what they eat, and how much exercise they don't do. If the poster posted pictures of skinny models, people would be on here slating them.

      • Yes, while a lot of people are that way because of a poor diet and sedentary lifestyle, genetics also play a part in it. I knew someone who avidly exercised and ate a proper diet and she was still thicker than average.

And I'm not saying that people can't be naturally skinny, too. Again, I know some people who can eat like a horse and not gain a pound.
