I suspect, while I've felt romantic love, that I still haven't felt the purest of it. I also am quite sure I've never known my soul mate. I wonder if I've run into my soul mate before...but that is a different story.
When I was in high school I was utterly in love with my boyfriend. He was my best friend and we were very good together. When I went off to college I spent my days literally singing and dreaming of our future together and how lucky I was to have him. He was always on my mind and that made me happy. He couldn't handle the distance though and it took me years to get over him. Even my husband never had that effect on me. I can't imagine how much more intense that kind of love could be and I really believe I haven't seen the best of it...yet.
