I don't have the most finely-tuned taste-buds so I may well be missing nuances, but FWIW, every time I've tasted my own semen, I've just got salty and slightly alkaline (as in water with a little baking soda in it). The only kinda strange thing about it is a tingling sensation on my tongue. I'm not sure, but I assume that's due to the sperm wiggling around.
Taste is a weird sense, though. A lot of what we perceive as taste is actually odour, and our finding something nice-tasting or disgusting can be affected by our preconceptions. If you can't get past the idea that semen comes from the same orifice as urine and you're phobic about pee, then it's probably likely you'll always find semen revolting.
