What does a kiss mean to you?

It's not really a show of love but a show of compassion.
It depends on the situation though..

You don't kiss your grandmother because you want to do her.. I'd hope not anyway.. You do it because she's family and you care about each other.

You kiss your partner because you want to be close to them physically and emotionally.

Kissing can be just as good as foreplay for me if it's passionate & real. it stimulates me immensely!

An expression of emotions and/or sexual gratification.

The "meaning" really depends on the individuals.

It depends on who I'm kissing. Most often it is a way to share a bit (or a lot) of love and to let that person know they are special. If it's cultural, then I'm honoring someone elses traditions, which to me, is still an aspect of love.

to a Sig Other: Sometimes it's just a way to say goodbye, sometimes it's intimate, sometimes its to shut them up (only when your tired and you want your space but you dont want to make them feel unloved because that isnt the issue, the issue is just simply that you need some breathing room at that particuar time :).... so for me it depends.
to everyone else: it is to show gratitude or hello or goodbye.

I think it is a more special, meaningful way to show the other person that they are special to you. If you went around kissing everyone, it would loose more meaning ;) just like saying "I love you" too much.

yeah I think theres a special meaning to kissinto me it means id like to create a bond with them one we alone share together.. hmm its like tellin the person your my beloved. *blush* ^,^

Kissing is special for me too, If I kissed someone random it would feel unpleasant, sloppy and just not right... it takes on a completely different feeling when it's someone you have feelings for, even if those feelings are brief.

i can only kiss someone i have strong feelings for, like really strong feelings, you can't just kiss everyone, so to me kissing is special

Sometimes to totally shut the guy up, sometimes to just end the day, sometimes to just do it for the sake of doing it.

But as for my boyfriend, I kiss him cause I love him. :-)
