I will turn into, what the medical examiners call it, biological waste.
Hopefully, before all of this is done, a few of my organs might be worth salvage and they can turn into a new hope and new life for someone in need of a transplant.
I want my body to be donated to a cadaver farm or a medical lab, if any scientific pursuit can use it, they shall have it (in which some of it will degrade, some might be preserved, no telling) but if not, I wish to be buried in a cheap, biodegradable coffin if the grave-spot is not expensive so that I will eventually break down into my basic molecules and turn into energy that can be utilized by surrounding plant-life. If it is cheaper to cremate me, then I will turn into ashes with tiny bone fragments in them.
I never quite liked the concept of a gravestone or a tomb. If I succeed in being a good and influential person, I will not have any need for a grave marker to be remembered and if I do not succeed in being a good and influential person, then it will not matter to anyone either way if there is a plot of land with a stone inscribed with my name. That's the way I see it.
If my spiritual beliefs are correct, then my immaterial soul will survive me and move on to the afterlife. If not, I'll never know because my consciousness will have ended at death. I'm comfortable with that.
Eventually, unless my science is wrong (which it probably is, knowing me) an alien.
In billions of years when the Sun explodes the matter (mostly carbon) which make up my body will - along with everyone else's matter, and everything else in the solar system - will be sent through space until it eventually becomes part of a new astrological phenomenon somewhere.
So, it depends on what time scale you're talking about.
*prepares for science people to knock some sense into me*
A Valkyrie! oh wait they serve mead to men for all of eternity. A Valkyrie feminist!
I want to be a gorgeous fluffy cat that gets pampered and chills on the sofa all day. Ah, what a life.
I don't know what I'll turn into, but I actually think I might know a thing or two about my past lives. I have a strange fear of men I never show, but it's there on the inside. I'm also terrified of having deep water under me. I panic when i'm in any sort of water. No reason for any of this as far as I know. It's interesting to think of. I watched an "outer limits" episode a while back that centered around a hypnotist who could help you remember your past lives. None of this is even relevant to your question.
I sometimes wonder if our metaphysical form will be informed by what we were and what we did in this life. If you were ugly on the inside, would your next form be hideous as well?
It's a nice thought but probably un-true.
More than likely I'll be ageless; being outside of time my appearance would be undiscernable. Neither young nor old.
My body will go to the ground. I'd like to be buried in a box or a biodegradable coffin of some sort, preferrably under a tree so that my body can feed it's growth.
My conscious self? Well I have no idea. The only people who've found out can't tell us what happened.
