What do you think when you see a giant pickup truck?
You know those trucks that are huge, noisy, don't stay in their own lane, take up two parking spaces, etc.
Do you like them?

I don't mind big trucks when they look like they've been used for traversing heavily forested (or arctic) areas, and I also do not mind big trucks when they look like they're used for farm work or for something business related.... But I am annoyed when I see giant trucks with huge tires that don't have so much as a molecular defect on their bumpers!
And then there's those women who have those big trucks with the graphic in the back window that says "silly boys, trucks are for girls," and the condition of their body infers they haven't even driven on so much as a dirt road. It's like "good for you, sweetie. Now take your beef with gender roles to the workplace."
When the truck is jacked 10 feet into the air with a giant stack coming out of the cabin that could launch a basketball, then its not for work, its for being a redneck. If its just a normal pickup truck with possibly tasteful mods, then id consider it a work truck if they actually use it for work and not tooling around.
Unless you stop and ask the person what their truck is used for then don't assume anything. That's like saying all Arabs are terrorists or all black people play basketball. Yeah, true for some but definitely not true for all.
I'd rather see an older, beat up truck than some shiny new looking one without a scratch on it anyway, at least the beat up one has seen work-whether it's still at work or not matters less if it's at least served a useful life and is still going.
