Well alcohol is legal and it's short term effects are worse, there's no cannabis induced violence or people overly stoned pulling a whitey in a and e every night, I do think alcohol is worse but it's ingrained into society.

The long terms of cannabis use are bad too though, 6 years ago I thought it was stupid that it was illegal but after 5 and a half years of smoking it, it's illegal for a reason, it's not hard to get weed anyway, everyone knew a guy who knows a guy in my town, send a text then 15 mins later an 8th is dropped off

I think it's a plant that has psychoactive properties.

I think some people like to use it as a recreational drug.

I think it could be legalised and taxed in a similar manner to alcohol and tobacco.

I think there should be more research about the effects of long-term use, but that shouldn't need to happen before legalisation.

Smoking isn't healthy, whatever the substance, and people obsessing over the potential health benefits of marijuana often omit the fact that the most popular method of cannabis consumption is smoking. Smoking weed is unhealthy.

Pot is one of those wonderful tools that mother nature has offered mankind as a simple, healthful alternative to the synthesized, dangerous chemicals man has created to ease his pain as he struggles to survive in modern society.

It should be regulated by the ATF like tobacco and alcohol is, and u should be able to grow ur own for personal use. No matter how much u fuckin want. They don't go telling u how much craft beer u can make on ur front porch, and that's not a plant that's been on this planet longer than most other plants. Eons of humans and other species using it. Whether it harms or not it should be legal. Making it illegal doesn't change jack, everyone can still get it. More in other drugs cases, making it illegal only makes taking them less safe because dealers probably aren't sellin' it pure. It's not going to stop the takers, it's just going to make them criminals instead.

This was made the most obvious with alcohol prohibition. If that didn't work, what makes anyone think any other drug prohibition will?

I've never smoked it, but I think it should be legalized. Imagine the money this country could make off the tax and the tax money that would be saved on bullshit arrests that stem from this shit.

I don't care much for it myself but I think since everyone uses it anyway it should be legal. Make it like alcohol, if you don't use it responsibly and get in an accident while youre high, there should be consequences.
btw Im not sure smoking it is the best method since smoking period is bad for you, maybe eating it or making a refined oil would be healthier?

I quit several years ago, couldn't care less about it.

But I support its legalization. I am against the war on drugs entirely.

I use it from time to time and it has never done any harm to me, or to anyone else.
I can understand if some people react differently to it,
like most other things it makes people act different.

If used responsibly by mature adults, I don't see a problem with it just like I don't see a problem with casual drinking.

However, if you choose pot over paying rent or feeding your kids, you got serious issues.

None of those options. It should be legal to adults 21 and up. But it does harm people. It also helps people. Also legal for under 21 for legitimate medical reasons.

well I think it makes too many people too much money as an illegal product to see it legalized anytime soon. Although I suppose if they legalized it they could always whack a supply and consumption tax on it or something. Yeah, I think they would do that.
