I think it's a useless holiday too honestly. Like you said, you shouldn't have to wait for the 14th of February to plan something special/romantic with your lover. I think it's pretty sad if someone only is willing to do something for their lover for this holiday. Also, it's kinda of a bad day for people who are single and would love nothing more to be loved and love someone.
