Oh I was not talking about the addictiveness. I was meaning the fact people use all these substances to get high or drunk. The op is saying god wants us to get high and drunk and that is why he gave us these plants.
We have poisoness animals that have this type of results but it is to make animals reluctant to eat them. Yes all drugs have a different level of being addictive. Some of clearly worse like meth. Some are not so much but still do damage. Op is saying the only reason people get addicted is since we did not follow the rules of drugs.
That god has supposedly set up to stop us from doing it a lot. I also disagree with the fact god would give us std but humans have seemingly just invented sex. If that was the case why do we get pregnant or fertilize the eggs? That means it was already programmed not something we just decided to invent in later years.
Op believes we should be able to do drugs as long as we do not do it a lot. People might also do meth believing the same thing and never stop. So no I dont think god gave us the gifts of drugs! I think it is something people figured out over time.
The op does not seem to be arguing for the medicinal use either. They seem to want to get high and need a reason to justify it. Which even doing so have already contradicted them self. With the "God did not invent sex but stds" thing they have written.
That is like saying god invented murder because he gave us rocks and we have killed people with rocks. Even if you are Christian I do not think anyone would believe this makes any sense.
For the last time, I don't need God to justify using such a beneficial harmless plant (I've already experienced all the joys and wonders for myself without the slightest thought about God giving it to us, i just thought of this poll's idea the other day), and I do indeed want the medicinal effects of it. I do not believe that people should do drugs, other than the plants and fungi that He put on this earth. And never did I say humans invented sex, God made us this way, and gave sex for the not as intelligent and more/less emotionless (for lack of a better word) animals to reproduce, and cognitive married humans (who he holds to a higher standard than animals) to enjoy and have the potential to make babies with if it's that time of the month.
And even you can't argue that the alcohol from fruit/plants (though I don't condone alcohol, i dislike it, and what it turns people into, but Jesus himself turned water into wine for His people) and natural marijuana doesn't bring friends and family closer together in social functions as long as they don't go overboard.
And I never said marijuana is addictive if you don't follow the rules, the high from it has the potential to have the same type of addictiveness as any favorite hobby/interest or food/beverage can be.
Second you can predict a women cycle but its not 100% accurate so you can still get pregnant even if its not during that time. So to think you can skip which days a girl gets pregnant is not so easy to do. I really doubt god would give us sex FOR FUN! Sex is for making children. Food can be almost anything. You eat it to make energy and depending on animals you can eat a certain set of foods. Humans can eat anything. We also can produce babies for most of our life while most animals have to wait till once a year. I am not condoning alcohol either. However they actually have had legitimate reasons for drinking alcohol unlike you that keeps saying "I want to be high"!
I'm not sure where you got the "I just want to get high" part from. I had my fun abusing marijuana in high school and my early college years, but I have matured, and haven't touched it in a year. But i have gotten bad headaches that I would like to have some marijuana on hand to instantly cure. Or had rough days that would be nice to smoke a bowl after, instead of the legal option of having a beer, which i dislike.
And I never said anything about predicting a woman's cycle, just that you aren't guaranteed to get pregnant if you have sex, if it isn't that part of your cycle, so all you got from it is having fun if you didn't fertilize an egg.
