What do you think of this theory?

My handwriting can change several times within the course of writing a paragraph (ie from print to straight up and and down cursive, slanted cursive, more rounded cursive, messy cursive, and back again). It can also be so close to scribble that I can barely read it, let alone anyone else.

I can also write in perfect NSW Foundation Script (print, not cursive) because I had to learn as part of my training.

I think my writing is a mix of laziness and not giving a shit.

Edit: Oh, and when I was a kid, we had these books teaching handwriting, and I'd get incredibly upset to the point of tears and frustration if I didn't match the letter *exactly* as it was...if it was not a perfect photocopy like result (which, being 4-5 at the time, it fuckin' wasn't, obviously) I would be distraught and assume I was a failure.

I generally don't care about my handwriting. It's good enough.

The only time I really take care is when I am addressing an envelope.

Hmmmm. I love my handwriting. Its like chocolate. It looks good. And it looks like shit.

Here is another theory I heard in school about hand writing.

People with bad hand writing are usually intelligent people who focus on the material/topic they are writing about.

People with good hand writing are usually more concerned about the look of their hand writing instead of focusing their brain power on the actual substance of the message/topic they are writing about.

When you think about it, I noticed most doctors and lawyers have fucking horrible writing. I remember being given a prescription that was written so badly I thought it was shorthand but I never seen such shorthand in my life. The pharmacist had to call the doctor to confirm the medication he prescribed to me.

I believe in this theory abit because I'm extremely stupid and I do have rather nice writing. It was probably the only thing that kept my teachers at bay.

I agree with this theory cuz most boys dont care about their writing.
I always cant stand having a messed up letter i too earase it and rewrite it. I dont have the best writing but ppl say i do and im a girl. Im better at drawing

I'm a girl with generally messy writing BUT i'm really good at drawing and I can write neatly.
I'm also a bit of a perfectionist so no, I dont agree.

My handwriting is kind of flowy, artsy, sloppy, yet neat. I think.

I think handwriting is composed of a lot more than just perfectionism, or lack there of.

I have semi decent hand writing. My hand writing is legible but its not very pretty. I don't think everyone spends their time rewriting something if its already legible. That is not saying everyone has horrible writing either. I think some of it might be practice but each writing style is unique. I think 90% of it is based on the persons personality.

I don't waste my time writing. If it's readable then who care? I have bad writing but it's readable.

Ever since I took cursive in 4th grade, my normal writing has been in an italicized form. It's a love/hate subject, but a lot of people like my handwriting for some reason. Eh, I don't care enough though.

I never cared about my handwriting but it's extremely neat and changes a lot. Sometimes it's cursive, sometimes it's print.

I have terrible handwriting. I genrally don't care about the context and focus more on the point. Its weird because even my numbers are illegible however my answers are ususally correct. I think it's more todo with patience and refraining yourself. From a young age I used to write incredibly fast just so I can get the work done before I lose concentration. If I spent more time id ususally lose concentration or lose my train of thought. This was done in about a minute.

I write fairly fast so mine is pretty messy but can still be read for the most part. Chicken scratch, ya know.

I think that theory is true. I noticed that i can write faster than my female classmates but I have a really bad, if not the worst, handwriting in our whole class. And those friends I mentioned before have great handwriting.

There is a very good theory that bad handwriting is because of a problem with the central nervous system.

I DO care but my handwriting has always been really bad. I loved schoolwork as a kid and I was always writing stories at home but all that practice never helped. I'm not lazy and no matter how hard I try my writing is still disgusting. I'm female by the way.

My handwriting is messy, even when I think it is neat.
Usually, my handwriting is either too small to read but very neat or big enough to read but too messy.

I was originally a leftie and I was switched to right and I never learned to properly write with my right hand and I am beyond the point of giving enough of a shit to try something else.
