There is not an outcome in this situation that will satisfy all. You are an as spoke if you say they can't come in. And you are a bleeding heart if you let everyone in. This is a lose-lose situation.
Personally, I think we have too much poverty, crime, and social service issues that affect a large portion of our current residents that we need to be able to get a handle on. Letting in more and more uneducated, low skilled workers does not help. Provide living wages for our nation's poor and take care of our business before trying to handle everyone elses.

We cannot be all things to all people.
