What do you think of people who commit suicide?

  • It can be a logical decision, I think it just rarely is. I think suicide is wrong, but there are exceptions.

    I'm against one notion that is always said about suicide victims, which is "you will never understand the pain/sadness they felt". Like the rest of us have never felt sad before or been in pain, and once you get to a certain level of darkness nothing can stop you. Know what? Maybe the rest of us thought about it first, or had more support, or simply had someone knock at the door.

    While I respect someone's right to kill themselves, I don't think the act itself should be respected. There's nothing you can do after the fact, but suicide hotlines and psychologists exist for a reason.

    If I knew someone I know was going to kill themselves, I would try everything within my power to stop them in most cases.
