Why can't somebody call their child something unique, without people presuming it means they are 'looking down' on common names or thinking they are worth less? I think it's nice when people are willing to be creative with names. An individual name for an individual person, nothing wrong with that.
What do you think of made-up baby names?

I'll admit, I didn't know Robert was German.
Also, I wasn't trying to imply that people looked down on normal names, I was just saying what was on my mind.
I dunno, I was tired when I wrote that.

That's alright, I was just commenting on the "I don't understand what's wrong with common names" part of your answer, I wasn't having a go at you :)
Someone thumbed me down anyway so I guess my opinion is in the minority, or somehow offensive to someone.

Okay. I didn't thumbs you down though, just in case you were wondering. I didn't really see how your previous comment was offensive.

Ha I guessed it wasn't you anyway. Some people get a little thumb-happy I guess :)
