  • Not all of them, I've seen a few who marry within their league. But the majority of "gold diggers" attract rich shallow guys who know what they are getting into and know what it's going to cost but they don't care, so long as they have arm candy or are getting a good lay. I go for intelligence, sense of humor and political views that are more or less equal to mine, and yes looks are obviously a factor although the men i've dated aren't attractive in the conventional sense (some of my major crushes include Bill Clinton and Conan O' Brien, both men that most people would not categorize as "hot" but i find incredibly sexy nonetheless). I think everyone goes for looks to some degree and to say otherwise is just lying. I don't think people should receive negative feedback for being shallow, since the majority of us would never date or fuck someone we didn't find at least slightly attractive. I just don't think it's fair for women (or men) to be labeled and seen in a negative light when they date someone solely for money if their partner is dating them only for their looks (sort of a trade-off). That's what i mean by a shallow relationship, neither person involved really bothers to look past the looks or the money since these superficial things are enough for them. I think we are genetically programmed to go for looks, financial stability, and intelligence because these things would provide good genetic material to pass on so being shallow can be good to some degree . I don't think there's anything wrong with dating for just looks or money, so long as both people know the score.
