The overwhelming majority of them are fake, but if people want to live out their fantasy by pretending it's true on a silly website instead of sexually assaulting a family member or screwing up family relations... by all means, indulge.
I think they're stupid and I hold a generally low opinion of presenting fantasy as reality online, especially when they're extremely obvious, but ultimately no harm done.
Once in blue moon (if even that frequently) a legitimate one goes up, and I try to offer what advice I can, but really they're just a bunch of people running around fantasizing.
