I think what'd be best for me's waiting for a time, place and person that I could not regret it with.

I think everyone else should do what they like, but should use protection unless they are ready to bring a kid into this world. Different people have different views on sex and how it relates to love. Telling people to wait for love to have sex so that sex is special if they don't want sex to be special, they want it to be fun, won't make a difference.

Sex means different things to different people and the only message we should push onto kids about sex is that whether you have sex or not, who with and when is your choice and yours alone, and no choice you make is better or worse than any other (just make sure you don't get landed with a kid if you can't deal with one).

A friend of mine was nine. Difficult to know if it harmed him but he did have a nervous breakdown. It'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the nervous breakdown came after a tour of duty in a warzone.

I consider myself asexual and I really dislike how much attention we pay to our reproduction.

I know some people like saying "oh she is mature for her age" etc but... that's a bit of a copout.

hell even in the early teens, most kids aren't really prepared in body and mind - or finances - to accept the consequences of their actions. i mean if mommy and daddy are still paying the bills, then it's a bit silly to think one is "mature" enough to start enjoying adult activities.

or in a nutshell, it's easy for children to think themselves wise when someone else is shouldering the responsibility.

I think it's best to wait til you're ready, but that age is completely dependant on the individual. Lots of young teens just aren't quite mature enough for that sort of thing. They assume they're gonna marry the first person they're with, they're often ignorant about how to have a healthy relationship with someone, you throw sex into the mix and you're gonna add even more emotional intensity to a person who really doesn't know how to be with someone yet.

Plus, you know, pregnancy and safe sex and AIDS and all that shit. Gotta be mature enough to be safe and ask the difficult questions.

I disagree that children should be doing it. However, there is a reason we get sexual at certain ages. Times have also changed where society wants people to wait until they are 18 in some instances. But in the past you could already be a mother by 16! So have people really been having sex younger and younger, or has nature taken it's natural coarse? I honestly believe 14 and up is a natural time to be exploring sexuality. 13 is on the rocks. Anything below that is to soon. The age things are just my opinions.

You should be able to have sex when you are capable and mentally mature enough to understand its effects.

I think it's preferable that you save it for your life partner, but I can't judge others for not. In fact, though I'm trying, there's still an over 50% chance that I won't.

Personally, instead of one man woman, I would prefer a harem marriage, where a group of people get married altogether, with no gender head (like no man controlling group of woman and vice versa). I still would like to be happy having one man one woman.

As for age, I don't feel disgusted if it's 13+, but as soon as one of the partners is pre-pubescent, I start to feel sick.

11 is a little too young, but I think any time after about 13-14, but only if you are completely prepared for any and all consequences.

more than likely, i would lean on the older side, cause I dont think a lot of people would be ready at 14. a few might.

I've been around plenty of 11 year olds and the thought of them having sex is absolutely nauseating. As mature as they like to think they are, they just aren't. They know what sex is but by no means should they be having it. I say at least 15 is acceptable in most circumstances.
