What do you think about self driving cars

There is no reason for anyone to have to operate a vehicle so it seems common sense that self driving cars will become the norm.

  • At least when my computer crashes no one dies.
I think they are a terrible idea.

  • Self driving cars will be the norm soon but I would like an over ride so you could drive it yourself.

      • living on the edge. Personally if my car gets messed up I want the insurance to pay for it but then again I have a really nice car now. My old Honda could have been rolled and it wouldn't have made much difference.

  • Once the technology matures, they will be safer than human driven cars. Not "Perfectly safe", that's basically impossible - but definitely much less likely to have an accident than your average human.

  • I kind of like the idea, but only if there's a manual override. I would not consider getting in one of those cars Google was trying to make without a steering wheel. No way, no how.

And I have no doubt they will be seen more and more commonly as the tech gets better. I'm worried that at some point it may become impossible to get a car you can drive yourself.
