I believe you are right. Scotland would want to remain a part of the EU, and no doubt the wheels are already in motion to ensure it becomes a member if Scottish people do choose independence.
If they do choose independence, the transition period will be very interesting. Will Scotland keep the Pound? How will Scotland fit into the EU? How will power be devolved to Wales and Northern Ireland, and within England? I hope it doesn't happen, but if it does at least we'll get to see what happens next.
