    A afterthought. The whole world has been at war since modern man and Neanderthals.
    The whole world not just two country's or tribes
    Even the Americas before Europeans showed up.

      I am in basic agreement with most of what you are saying. The best military policy would be to unofficially give limited air support to Iran so they can fight ISIS on the ground. If we keep the balance of power relatively equal both sides will kill each other.

      We keep the Kurds happy to keep their oil flowing.

        Help the Kurds-yes, The Turks- yes, Saudi Arabia if they still want us. Iran and Russia wants to keep their buddy Assad in power. Not help the rebels trying to get rid of him.
