It seems like Russia did more in 5 days then what NATO did there in 1 year. I think that Russia has a right to strike ISIS in Syria as much as any other country that is currently doing so(UK, UAE, Canada, France, Australia) and probably more so than the others since Russia received a direct request for military help from Assads government and their military partnership spans decades due to Russia having a naval facility on the coast in Tartus. And ISIS is trying to claim the North Caucasus within their caliphate as well.
Speculations of Iran moving boots to fight with the Syrian Army and with Russia thinking about doing the same... fun times are ahead.
Yeah, what a time to be alive. I'm curious to see just how far Russia is willing to go. To Russia's credit they usually know when to press and when to back off, but honestly who knows what the future holds
