I'm the most hopeless romantic you'll ever meet, but in real life I either don't have time for it, or I'm too afraid of it, or the people I'm interested in aren't compatible with / interested in me. I don't see myself getting into a relationship for a long while, not because I don't like the idea [I fantasize about romance way way WAY more often than I'm comfortable admitting] but because, as much as I love the idea, I know that relationships take a LOT of work. And I'm not ready for that. I have a life to live, you know? I have a career to start on and dreams to pursue. I don't have time for a partner to be taking up all my attention [or getting mad at me for not giving them enough attention].
