I think that some people can live by themselves and be happy. Relationships can be messy, they can leave you broken and afraid to trust people. That's why it is understandable whenever I come across an individual who prefers to be single. However, I've seen some relationships where both the people involved grow together, they experience life and enjoy the joys of youth together. That is what I think we all want when we think about a relationship. But like I said they can be messy and some people would rather not take the chance.
I think it's a need depending on the person. But for the most part I think it's just a preference since being alone can make a person lonely. We all want to feel loved and that's why we crave intimacy. But like I said, a person can live by themselves contently.
