I find them pretty attractive on either gender. I realize people complain about the smell but if you're consistently washing them each time you shower at night you shouldn't have that problem. Getting natural plugs, wood or stone, help minimize the smell as well. I'm 21 and I've been at 3/4' since I was a freshman in high school. To answer jelly1's question; It's obvious that it all depends on what field of work people wish to get in to. I've been a Cosmetic's Manager at Saks fifth Avenue for almost 2 years. They've never had an issue with my ears even when I was a sales associate. There are ways to look professional. If your ears aren't enormous there are simple solutions to disguise them and make it look like you're wearing just over-sized earrings (for the girls anyway's). Just look online...
