What do you think about gender equality?

It is one of our modern issues that seems to never fully resolve itself.
We try to solve the problem logically and yet never seem to reach common ground. What ever happens in our fair world, someone feels treated unjust.
I am talking about gender equality.
Where ever you look, you see people complaining about the other gender treating them badly.
Someone shows a woman on TV making fun of her man and the whole male community cries out in anger.
You see a man making his woman carry a big bag and the whole female community cries out in anger.
These problems are straight forward and easy to solve, right?
WRONG!
The woman doesn't make fun of her husband and suddenly the men complain about the woman ignoring him. Make the man carry his woman's luggage and everyone shouts out that he his making her dependant of him.
There are many good cases were there is the urging need of gender equality and some might argue there are many good cases were men and women are simply taking it a step too far.
In any case, gender equality is important and necessary, but the question is how to execute this equality.
There are many different approaches to this issue and we have to come to terms with the idea that none of them are completely "bad" or completely "good" and all of them have their certain value.

I would like to know how you would approach this issue.

-Would you make women and men equal in every single aspect of life?
-Would you agree that there are certain areas in life that simply cannot be equally shared between woman and man?
- Is it enough to give women and men completely equal rights and regard them as equal infront of the law, but not in (e.g.) social issues?
- Do you believe that one or the other is inferior?

    Wow wow wow. I'm going to stop you there. Males don't get as much fair attention for their side as females do, and saying that they do is just completely inaccurate.

    What we mean by equality in today's world is giving the female gender special treatment.

    There was a sixth grader boy that was sexually assaulted by three 8th graders. He was telling them to stop, holding on to his trunks while they strip him. The boy is screaming for help, but nobody does anything. Guess what happened to the three girls, even though it was recorded BY THEM? Absolutly nothing. They didn't get charged for what they done. The incident got reported as "Just some girls pulling a prank". Now, if three males were stripping younger female, do you think that it would of been recorded as a prank? Ofcourse not. If the boy was tohit them to get them off him, he would of been charged, no doubt.

    Then there are the countless videos online where you see females constantly abusing the male, and the male can't doanything. If he retaliates, he'll most likely be the one that gets charged.

    So as you can see, females have special treatment in law enforcement matters.

    Same with Debra Levave. She got let off for having sexual relationship with a fourteen year old (She was a teacher).

    I can go on for other examples of women having way too many special treatments, but I have to go out.

    Depends on your definition of equal. Petty things like carrying a girls bag or not is idiotic. If someone is holding me back in say my career because I'm a woman or they treat me differently or expect me to only do certain tasks because I'm a girl that bothers me.

    but struggling makes you stronger. :)

      1st of all: I don't think the bag incident is idiotic or petty. It is a part of social behaviour and we need to include it, if we don't then we might aswell have a MASSIVE poll about what to be included and what to be excluded. We need to consider everything, but we need to differentiate the importance of every single point.

      2nd: The job consideration is interesting. For example: Do you think that men and women are equally well equipped considering every possible job, or is there a natural inequality?

        Men will often dominate some fields and women will always be more inclined to others. Since men and women have different interests. Women like girly things for the most part and will often like jobs that include that. A lot of men are into manly things and will often pursue those type of careers. Not to say the other gender is unable however the other gender is not very likely to do so. However if the person signs up for the job they should be expected to do the job and get paid just as much for doing the work everyone else is doing. However some people will do a much better job and in this case would most likely get recognition for it. If they can hang in no matter the gender they should be free to try out for it. This goes for men and women.

    Women are better inherently better at some things, and men are at others. We should also recognize that there are always exceptions to the rule, so you will get women who are better than most men at something guys are good at and some men that are better than most women are good at. So we should just stop comparing and just treat everybody with respect and not judge them till we see them in action or get to know them.

    Where do you think the term "Women's Rights" comes from?

    The fucking feminist women that push these issues will never be satisfied with being equal. They want the favour of the law and society on their side.

    Everyone should be equal before the law, but the world is run mainly by men as it always has been. Women should not get arrogant an think they can do everything that was intended to be done by men.
