Everyone wants to believe in an idyllic afterlife, where we retain our personalities and live with our loved ones in paradise for all eternity. Now I know I'd like that. But that shits not the truth. And my analytical nature won't allow me to believe in anything that's not reality. But if others want to believe in Gods and deities and they aren't violent fundamentalists, I certainly see no harm in it. If religion gives them comfort then they can believe whatever they like.
