Mostly childhood was unhappy, but I do remember vacations with my cousins and aunt and uncle when I was 4 that was my best vacation ever. We were staying in cottages on a lake and we played in the water and everybody got along. I remember visiting my grandmother at her house before she broke her hip and came to live with us. Oddly it was her house and yard I enjoyed immensely rather than my somewhat aloof grandmother. After the age of 4, people seemed to get very mean and controlling and against me and my twin sister. As if it was sink or swim, losers.
