This started when this person and I were arguing whether Ju-on, the Grudge was Korean or Japanese. They were so convinced that it was Korean and I had all the proof that it was Japanese, but they refused to believe me. So I just said, screw it and left them to think that.
I may be stubborn myself, but if someone has proof, I'll acknowledge my mistake.
I get tired of a person who is close minded, I cannot stand someone who can't be wrong even when there is proof and factual evidence. My mom is kind of like that, and it pissed me off. I'm stubborn but if there is proof, that's new information I'm more than happy to have.
No. I didn't agree with the "They can be stupid alone" part.
Just because you think you're right doesn't mean the person you argue with is stupid.
If anything, if you really think the other person is now stupid for not agreeing with you... it's time consider that the other person may not be the problem.
Pissed me off, too. This idiot was saying the The Grudge was Korean just because the DVD cover picture was Korean. I was like, "just because it's the cover, it does not mean that tells what the movie is. I'm half Korean and I've seen the movie, so I think I know what the hell they're talking about." They replied with "cool story, bro". So I just said, "good luck going through life with shit like that going through your head, moron. I have actual proof." They replied again, but I just deleted it.
one of my major personality defects is when I am convinced someone is wrong, I will spend hours trying to convince them otherwise. And if I can't, then I get mad. but that's only if I feel i have more evidence to support my idea than the other person. I'm stubborn, but I will admit if I'm most likely wrong. My biggest pet peev is close minded (not the same thing as stubborn) people. I guess that's why i hate religion so much (sorry for offending anybody by saying that, but I feel that most religions are close-minded)
It's not the religion that is, it's the people that feel so strongly for their religion. :P. And sometimes some people think they know what the hell they're talking about because they're that religion, which is bullshit because there logic doesn't make sense- things like God hates these people. I'm getting baptized tomorrow, but I know that is complete bull. Like, "oh, I'm sorry, did he talk to you last night to tell us this? Go to hell." I hate those phony, close-minded Christian and Catholics that use their religion to try and get there point across.
Let them make a fool of themselves, I just say "oh, I thought it was ______" usually that calms them down a bit and they respond with well, maybe, I just thought it was this. Dont be so definate - cos you dont want to look like a moron :) goes both ways - we've all felt like a moron.
