I think maturity is being able to recognize that things are never black and white, everything is just a varying shade of grey. Also, it is the ability to control one's emotions and overcome self-pity & selfishness.
I don't agree with that. Some things are purely black and white, and having an inability to recognize that isn't good. I can provide some examples of purely black and white situations if you'd like.
What do you consider as being "mature"?
