Kung flu is extremely racist, but it sounds funny. I either call it "Coronavirus" Or just "The Virus"
Its only funny because its racist. Offensive humor is always better. Then you laugh at the outrage it causes
Yeah, it's funny the first few times you hear it, but it gets old, and if you hear someone use it it really feels like they are going out of their way to encourage xenophobia.
I'd say the reason it's so bad is the context, where there's a lot of real distrust of Chinese people already and this phrase is very much tied to it.
"Kung flu" is actually pretty good, I like that, but I wasn't as creative...
I simply call it "the virus", or "the stupid virus".
most died not from covid but many ways, yet the government said to count as covid death if the had covid even if it did not kill them.. this inflated the numbers big time,, not me speaking but look it up. problem is over 80% of the people believe the government leaders without question. no common sense.
I’ve heard “Boomer Remover” before, and I like this title the most. Although most of the Covid deaths were members of the Silent Generation.
I just call it covid. I do like "the virus" though cause I'm a horror/scifi fan.
Usually coronavirus IRL, online half the time I say nCoV (novel coronavirus).
