No one is beaten into submission. My husband always makes a point of being calm when he spanks me. If he is feeling angry he will tell me he will deal with me later. He will tell me before he begins how many I will get, then I am expected to count, they are hard and firm and it stings, then it is done and I make sure I do better next time. My husband never spanked our children and I never spanked my 2 sons. When they were old enough to understand I was expected to spank my 2 daughters under my husbands guidance but not until they were 12.
Well they are all long since grown up with families of their own now. My children’s upbringing may not fit with modern thinking or some people’s ideals. But they are all happy law abiding citizens now. They all show respect to me and their father and we are both proud of them all. So we must have done something right
Perhaps the two sons never did anything bad enough to warrant spankings. It is of my opinion that spanking is the ultimate punishment for if your children are being extremely bad.
