I'm black and I enjoy rock (more than any other music genre).
My style is this: black sweater, eyeliner, blue hair, and skinny jeans, and some spiky accessories (i like leather and spikes..haha so cliché')
Being someone like this, I understand why you would want ask people's opinions.
Many would think seeing a black girl like this wouldn't matter much, but I've been hated many times for my differences. Most of the black people at my schools would see me as a traitor (they've actually approached me with their opinions). And some white people would see me as a poser.(although many who dressed similar would have more open-minded and eccentric personalities..thus more accepting)
To me punk and metal are terms for music genres, so I will not conform to these titles, but I will say my taste in music greatly influences my dressing. Being different will always get you weird looks. 70% of people probably would say 'who cares', but there are definitely at least 30% who show flaunt their disgust.
What do think when you see a black punk/metal girl
