Open the phone, pull the battery.
If you can put it into an old freezer, safe, etc.
Signal is now 100% dead.
These bugs get in they are tough to get out.
Pulling the battery is the only way to temporarily stop them.
They reactivate with battery power.
Contact detectives.
Let them take it from there.
