What defines someone as being "cool"?

I would think people have different views on what makes someone cool. I asked my sister what's her definition of a cool person?
Her description was of someone who likes to party a lot, is popular and is basically mainstream .
Imo , I agree with her but I also determine a cool person by the way they look. E.g- Good fashion sense, may have some tattoos, plays sports or something that they're basically good at. I think it has to do a lot with the way they look, how they act, eg smoking , drinking & their demena. What do you all think?
Also, I'm a down to earth, no tattoos type of girl. I love animals/nature & work outdoors. I don't consider my self the cool type. I don't party due to many reasons, I dont smoke or drink. Yet I want to be cooler, i want to be liked by a lot . Any tips on what to do to change me up a little? :p
