What decade do you belong to?

I'm sitting in a coffee shop reading a noir novel listening to jazz and I realize I was born too late. Obviously I would have thrived in the 20s. Any one else?

  • I was rather fond of growing up in the 70's, however at the creation of the internet and social media i was able to find that I WAS NOT the only guy in the world that had a thing for wearing lingerie and womens clothing.

  • Anybody who doesn't pick 80s is a fool.

  • I would say the 80s, and the 90s were both totally awesome!

  • 90s were my best memories. No social media so everyone actually hung out together. Life was much better. My hometown was still small. You knew the sheriffs by name, everyone knew eachother.

    • The 90s were pretty great for me too. I did a lot of travelling back then and it was all so simple- really easy to find work in random places, and you met more people because people were engaged in their surroundings rather than buried in a phone. I have great memories.

      • Man it was awesome. My grandad was still alive. He'd throw parties about 4 times a year where literally 60% of the entire town came to his ranch. He'd grill enough food to feed like 2,000 people there. He used these smokers and he'd cook shrimp, patatos, corn and all sorts of good shit. Those were the days.

  • No, in the 20s you’d have whined about the lack of internet, pissed your pants, then died.

  • Good grief... I belong to 7 of them so far, although I don't remember anything from the 1st one.

Life is meant to be lived... at every age.

  • That's one hard decision.

  • The 2020s, it’s pointless to yearn for a less technologically advanced time when peoples lives were harder at least to some degree. I choose to embrace the future and everything it will bring.

  • It would've been cool to live in the 1790's, when the US was still new and people had hope (and a lot of anxiety too) for the country they had only just recently made.

Aside from that, maybe the 70's because I like chaos

  • I would've wanted to be a teenager in the 90s due to the grunge era, and preferably born in Seattle of course. I also like the 70s. I've been told sometimes I give off 70s vibes, whatever that means. I feel like if anything my random sense of fashion is more 90s but maybe it's a mixture of 70s and 90s fashion.

  • I would have killed it in the 60s. The fashions back then were so snazzy and music was still an art.

  • 90s

  • What book?

  • I would say anywhere from 1970's to 1990's, but I picked 1980's. There's a lot I love from all of those decades.

I was born in 1995 though, so I guess my coming of age decade was 2010's.

  • I've lived the full 90s decade. But sadly, I didn't enjoy childhood and preteen years which happened to fall in that decade. I feel I was part of it, I mean the movies I watched, the music I listened.. but generally, life lacked excitement for me then. It wasn't until the 2000s that I got freedom to explore the world on my own, that life got exciting for me. And then the 2010s came knocking on my door with responsibilities that seemed to dull the excitement from the 2000s. So yeah I belong to the 20s.

  • 1860s. I would like to set out and do some good conquering.

  • No decade is good. I only have nostalgia for the late 90’s early 2000’s cause I was a kid with no concept of world issues. If I went back to the 50’s, i would have been shamed for being 25, single, and working (probably). 70’s I would have been a faggot or something. Its all relative

  • Well I cant enjoy the 90s if I was 2 so. 2000s.

  • Oh shit! I thought you meant born- oh ok, so i would've definitley thrived and blossomed in the 70s, however, i was unfortunatley born in the 90s.
