    I have to admit, I only use an approximation of the Icelandic way. I do rhyme it with "work" rather than "cork" (as some people do). But I don't roll the R like you're suppose to and I don't put such emphasis on the K. It'd sound like I was trying too hard. :D

      Oh, I don't roll the R. That would sound ridiculous where I'm at. lol. I mean I pronounce it like "Byerk" and not like "Beeyerk" or "Beeyork". I hear she hates the way Americans pronounce it so I stopped.

        The English are no different. I hear "Byork" more often than "Byerk". I presume we're saying it right. I'm going off how she said her own name once.

            lol, there's a real battle going on there between the Brits and the Americans. I couldn't believe the number of voice posts. I should put my own up because where I'm from we call them "tommy redskins". :D
