Really? That sounds awkward. I can understand why people would use a mouse for shooter games, because it's more accurate, and then obviously they need to use a keyboard with their other hand since it's not like they can just use only the left half of a controller. But otherwise I've always found keyboards to be a bit awkward and uncomfortable for gaming. Plus I've always found it weird since I've always associated keyboards with boring computer work, but controllers are always associated with fun games.
What controller do you use for PC gaming?

I can think of very few reasons to use a controller with a pc.

The Assassins Creed series in particular, or for that matter most platformers, feels more fluent with a controller.
I use a controller because my pc is too close to my bed so I hdmi it to my mounted TV instead of sitting at the desk
Only noobs and dimwits use controllers.

Surely you wouldn't play platformer games with the keyboard though would you?

I've played platformers with a keyboard. It wasn't bad at all.

The only games I really play with M&K is shooters. There's exceptions, but a controller is great to have.
The only reason I can think of besides those two is if someone has a wrist problem and can't use a mouse.
