I’ve actually been there once, only for about 20 hours but I went to the clubbing section in the pouring rain and sat on the steps of St George’s Hall as someone told me to listen to My Dad Wrote a Porno. The taxi driver on the way to the station had an incredibly strong accent and as I got out wistfully said that he hadn’t been on a train in years.
Aww! Yes, I appreciate the nightlife there and I'm not even that into clubbing. And I like the locals' accents and the way they're not afraid to show their feelings. Liverpool reminds me more of a Latin-European city than somewhere in England - or it would, if it weren't for the weather and the architecture.
