I really liked this boy for a long time, he had a girlfriend so i didn't do anything about it. Anyway, after a while he split with his girlfriend and told me he liked me, i told him i liked him too and have done for a while. We were getting on really well, speaking in school texting and speaking on msn.. Then one time i was speaking to him and he said he doesn't know if he likes me and not sure if he's ready for a girlfriend... whats up with that?!

    Maybe he liked you only a little bit but as time went on it faded? This has happen to me, it wouldnt make me a dick like 'Pamplemoose' suggests it's perfectly normal. Don't look for the answer to be a negative trait of yours, it will be something to do with him or in his life.

    What is the guy ment to do? Say he likes you when it's gone? At least he didn't carry on saying he likes you just to sleep with you.

    Also you don't kinda like somebody, you ever do or you dont, how can people not know their own feelings its THEM who feel it. If it's not there they should just say.

    You didn't say how old you are, but what I'm suspecting is that the both of you are very young or teenagers.

    I'm not proud to say this, but I did that to a girl when I was 18 and she was clearly puzzled by that. If I could turn back time, I would have done things differently...

    Unfortunately, young people can get carried away by the passion of the moment and say things they don't really mean. Suffice to say, if the boy says he doesn't know if he likes you, the bottom line is that he doesn't know what he's really feeling at the moment and I don't suggest any more time on him. People may find Dawson's Creek romantic, but in real life you should never leave a girl hanging like that. Leave him and find someone else...

      Sorry, bad English, I should have said "I don't suggest you waste any more time on him" rather than "I don't suggest any more time on him"
