The guy above listed assumed male and female inequalities and you felt the need to only question the male side of inequalities, is what I'm getting at. Lol
Oh ok. I definitely feel the need to destroy the family court gender bias myth because all it does it hurt so many people. It's such a pervasive myth and so readily accepted as true that so many fathers, children and mothers suffer needlessly. Selective Services....well it factually IS sexist because it excludes women. People are ignorant and knee-jerk it and think it's sexist for only accepting men but the real reason it's sexist is that it excludes women! Duh. As for the gay/lesbian part...mostly I was talking about discrimination. People who oppose homosexuality generally don't make exceptions for anyone. I've never heard of people opposing gay marriage or adoption based on gender, etc. Gay men get harrassed in general and so do gay women too just in some slightly different ways but in terms of systematic discriminatiom I believe it's virtually the same. The rest of the points he made, while slightly debateable are mostly true and I feel didn't deserve a full examination on this thread.
How is the family court bias not true? (Genuine question).
I don't know if you're being sarcastic here in saying that it's more sexist not to force women in to war than it is to force men in to war...Are you being sarcastic here? Please be that it is sarcasm...
I agree, legally the homosexuality issue does not have legal differences between men and women however it is socially different. Lesbianism is considered "sexy" while homosexuality in men still has a large stigma. Ofcourse, lesbianism isn't free of stigma, just that it has less of it from less people.
There's a wealth of information available on the court bias myth online. To briefly sum it up for you though, courts decide on roughly less than 5% of ALL custody cases. The statistics you see generally report on all custody arrangements. For instance, if 85% of mothers retain custody after divorce. But what you're not applying here is that over 95% of these cases were decided between the parents themselves, NOT the court. Basically the most common reasons more women have custody is because fathers either don't want it or don't ask for it. That's not a court bias. Repeating this myth that fathers have no chance of getting custody is absolutely a horrible thing to do because it makes some men not even try or ask for custody. You should be encouraging fathers, instead you do the opposite by perpetuating this lie.
Selective Service discriminates against fenales because it does not allow them to sign up. It doesn't get any more clear cut than that. "no girls allowed" Historically, the legal basis for this discrimination has been that women are not allowed in combat, which again, is sexism.
I think you're confusing porn and real life. Just because lesbian porn is popular doesn't mean real life normal lesbians have it good. They're just as hated in real life as gays are. And I just read a story recently advocating raping lesbians. Not the first I've heard of that shit either.
That doesn't necessarily refute the gender bias in family courts though. Both can happen at the same time. It could be true that 95% of what you claim happens is true (I'm skeptical but meh) but that doesn't change that the last 5% where men do fight for custody of their children does not involve a gender bias. So...That isn't necessarily an arguement that refutes gender bias in the family court system.
Ok...So you're not being sarcastic...You are genuinly trying to tell me that it's not men who can be forced in to war that are the primary victims of sexism in this subject, it's women that can't have their human rights violated equally that are the real victims...That is fucking moronic and you know it. If you're seriously trying to tell me that not being able to get forced in to war is more of an issue than being forced in to war then it's evidently clear here that you are trying to create a victim of the female gender in places where it defies logic.
"Hey, boys! Welcome to the club! Sure we forced you in to this club, sure you didn't want to be in this club and you want to leave and not be held against your will in fear, knowing you're going to experience the most horrific things you will ever experience, but welcome to the boy's club! One rule, though. We don't allow women in this club of legal enforcement in to war and horrific experiences."
You: Women are clearly the real victims here! -_- I can't seem to let that go. That is just one of the dumbest things I have ever witnissed.
You should just do some research on it, like I said there is tons of information online. On what information are you basing your opinion that there is a bias against men? Genuinely curious. I'd like to see some of your sources.
The rest...you completely misunderstood and ran off with it too far in the wrong direction for me to even respond. Sorry.
From the experiences of men and women, from children who witnissed it and take issue with it only to later connect with their fathers once they hit the age they could, from judges stating that it happens, and so on. The information is online.
No, I did not misunderstand you. I asked you, even asked if you were being sarcastic, and you said, and I quote, "People are ignorant and knee-jerk it and think it's sexist for only accepting men but the real reason it's sexist is that it excludes women!"...
I worked with what you gave me and if you're going to not respond to me because of the response that was in context of what you gave me but explained how ridiculous it is, then I'll take that as not being able to defend your claims.
What can one gender do that just doesn't work for the other gender?
