What came first, the chicken or the egg?

  • If there was such a "strange creature" surely evidence of their existence would have been found through fossils or some other means.

Where did this strange creature come from? If this is the earliest known form of a chicken would an egg not be required for it to have life?

Unless chickens used to be mammals (imagine that, hairy chickens) which is very unlikely there must be some sort of egg at the start.

    • Look we all (all life) go back to single cell life forms, so the creature before the chicken? Who knows but it obviously existed.

Call this extinct creature a Chicbarby.
So the Chicbarby laid a Chicbarby egg.

Note: There is NOTHING else it could lay, it can ONLY lay a Chicbarby egg.

      Anyhow..
The egg hatched and out popped this mutant creature (hmm, must have formed in the CHICBARBY egg).

We now call it a ChicKEN

      • Don't get sarcastic on me. It's not professional.

So you're saying a "chicbarby" isn't a chicken. This still means the egg came first as you'll see from my first comment, the chicken evolved from the egg.

Therefore, the egg came first ;)

        • yes my penis evolved from a monkeys ass and my body from a donkey. Fack evolution. Cells do not change, they only mutate and a mutation where we are symetrical and have equal toes and hands. Is not possible

        • I replied to user IncludedSos, further down.

Note: When people say 'The chicken or the egg'. They are implying ' the chicken or the chicken egg'
Obviously there was no chicken egg before the chicken evolved ;)

And yes I have been told often that I am sarcastic. Its very irritating to hear that all the time :D

          • But the egg that bore the chicken MUST be a chicken egg. Otherwise it would have been a "chicbarby" that hatched.

Sorry about the sarcastic comment :D
