  • I find that having smokes makes quitting harder, because they are more available. I used to smoke 2 packs a day and quit for a few months and every time I quit I smoke less each time. Now I manage it by only smoking when I drink, but I only buy small amounts so I do not have them when I sober up, or else I will smoke them. I usually just get a cigar or buy a few smokes off a friend. If I by a pack it is all over.
