Gender plays no role in this. SEX DOES. You can change your gender however you wish, what you cannot change empirically is your sex. My solution is that all trans persons use the male bathroom. The problem for bathrooms is that males could enter a female restroom and cause problems. Since it's the main issue is female bathrooms allow trans persons to use the male bathrooms. 50% of them will get what they want and the other 50% will have to deal with it.
