I believe that limiting the rights of law-abiding citizens is wrong. I do, however believe that in order to own a gun ALL GUN BUYERS should have a background check. (Whenever I buy a firearm I have one, why can't everyone else?) A mental health evaluation should also be required for non-hunting semi-autos. (Like in Germany)
