    Gun violence disappearing completely is not the point being made either. As you so rightly say, it decreases even if it doesn't go away.

        I won't ignore them, I promise. I'll dispute their validity if I think they are invalid, and I'll reply with counter-sources if I find them. I might even change my mind, if you can convince me so. I won't ignore them, though.

            Seriously though. Switzerland has a civilian militia to defend their neutrality kind of like the one referred to in the American second amendment. I have always thought that cross cultural studies between the US and Switzerland might show revealing data in the differences between the two armed societies.
