If guns were prohibited completely, there would still be psychos with guns for many years. How is it possible for every person's gun to be compensated? Not every gun is registered under the right persons name. Guns are traded all the time without reregistering. Only the honest, lawful and scared would give up their guns.the rest will be tightly tucked away. There is no way everyone's house would be thoroughly searched. Such an act would certainly leave psychopaths and right minded rebels with guns, while the rest are left only with their sanity - not a good weapon against a psycho.
I wish it could be that easy, but there are just too many guns out there. I think people should definitely be mentally evaluated before being given permission to have a gun. Prohibiting felons from possession is not enough. Besides, i know plenty of felons with guns anyways and they have more than non-felons.
I feel terrible about this catastrophe and i wish it could have been prevented. I guess we just have to quite trusting one another.
