I think it should be made mandatory that every US citizen from the age of 5 and upwards should be given a gun to protect themselves. A little gun holster attached to little Jimmy's school bag will solve this problem.
No wonder the US has one of the world's lowest gun related crimes in the Western world. *NOT*
It won't work - majority of the mass shootings that occurred in schools were done by minors in the first place. It just happened that this horrible incident had an adult involved.
The only difference between what you're saying and what I'm thinking is this:
You're imagining one child with a gun going into an UNarmed school.
If the same thing happened but the ENTIRE SCHOOL was armed and ready for disaster then that ONE kid wouldn't stand a chance, and would probably NEVER attempt it in the first place.
That's MY kind of "preventative measures". Cameras can't save anyone, but guns CAN.
When killing one's self, quickness and ease of death is not much of an issue because there's no resistance. But, I think MissyLeyneous is just being hypothetical anyway.
What are your thoughts on the Connecticut shooting

You were correct up until the sarcasm. Change the age to 15 and you might be getting somewhere.

Oh yeah, that'll do wonders for the teen suicide rate.

That's not true. I've attempted suicide, and quickness and ease were both major considerations.

Sorry, I stand corrected. I'm backing that pitcher down to a small glass.
You both forgot to read the reply below that one.
If those teachers had been carrying, those children wouldn't have died, plain and simple.
But now we have the media demonizing "ASSAULT rifles"... when it was originally dual pistols.
Can you say.... PSY OPS?
