What are your thoughts on abortion?

I think women should have a choice, and that if they want to abort they’re child they can. It gets so annoying when I hear those Christians protesting against abortion clinics saying “Jesus is against this!” Or “Killing babies is in humane!”

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

More people should abort. Kids are the worst

Her body, her choice. Nobody has a right to tell a woman what she can do with HER body. She should not be made to carry a child she does not want and never asked for or is not ready for.

I don't think a woman should get an abortion. If I got pregnant but couldn't take care of the baby I would give birth and put it up for adoption. Now someone like a 12 year old girl getting pregnant against her will is a different story. That's the only case where a person should get an abortion to me.

I agree for the most part but I still think women can get abortions if they want. Carrying a baby for 9 months is REALLY hard. You're constantly sick, and it hurts a lot and sometimes its hard to get up. So i understand why a woman wouldn't give birth just to put it up for adoption because even the birth process is horrible. Its one of the most painful things a woman can go through. If not THE worst.

I feel like the right takes too much morality into abortion, going against it and calling for a "potential life".
tbh that agenda is just pushed by moral and religious beliefs.
Itself a condom is also a potential life, but thats ok because... its not developing yet? i dont get why if its developing it means "lol dont touch it"

inb4 should we have the right to kill you when you were 4 years old just because you were still developing?
No, because thats a really extreme case and its what the right is using to make it more SHOCKING, same as calling it "murder", but if i was an unwanted child with shitty parents/shitty family or even serious deformities which will make my life a living pain and wont get me past 20 years old and i havent even developed a functioning brain then, hell yeah, pull the fucking plug for me.

in what stage do you consider a fetus has a developed brain?
well, obviously not at the eleventh month, i would say at the first 6. where the baby is still malformed, unconscious and you can say its future health status.

I’m Christian and imo, I think women should have a choice wether or not to get an abortion. Its easy to say “its inhumane” blah blah blah but i were to put myself on their shoes, I would do it. If I end up giving birth to the child anyway, I would put him up for adoption, it would be best if others took care of him instead of growing up in a toxic family. I would only be raising him out of morality, pity and guilt and not out of love and care. It’s hypocritical to look at this situtation in a logical way, when you yourself did not experience the trauma that those women experienced.

If you strongly believe that you can give your child the love and care that he needs without looking at him as the rapist’s child but as YOUR child, then keep him and raise him. But don’t tell him the truth. There are things that are better left unsaid.

I personally am Pro-life, but I support a woman's right to have a safe legal abortion. I think to if abortion were illegal women would just end up having back alley abortions, or trying to self abort.

I would never encourage someone to have an abortion, but I wouldn't actively push the person to not have the abortion. I would, however, explain as much as I could about how women who have had abortions are often traumatized by the death of the unborn child.

Many many women are traumatized by having to bear and raise a child they don't want. And at the early stage of pregnancy when most abortions are performed, there's no "unborn child" involved but a foetus

This, for the most part. I consider myself pro choice, thought I don't know if I could have one myself in an instance of other birth control not working. But we have seen from the past that women will get abortions if needed, and it is far better for it to be a safe procedure.

Your last comment about women being "traumatised" by abortions is inaccurate. Any trauma is caused by society ladling guilt and shame, or due to it being a wanted pregnancy that had to be terminated due to medical or situational circumstances.

Personally I don't like it one bit(I'm not even Christian)but I don't want my personal feelings forced on anyone else using big government as a hound dog moral police. There are more pressing matters in this country(America) any ways.

I think it should be a last resort that is not treated lightly (condoms, the pill and other contraceptives are preferable) however I am not against it.

I don't see the value of bringing a child into a shitty situation, not to mention the world is overpopulated enough. I also don't I see the value in a woman (especially a teen girl) birthing the bastard baby of some manchild who will ride off into the sunset as soon as he finds out.

I feel like if you really want kids, then the first step in being good parents (plural.) is to provide as stable an environment for their successful development as you can.
